If you are trying to lose weight, Apple Watch can help you. Set your goal to 10,000 steps every day, or at least on work days.
Why count steps, not calories?
Thanks to the heart rate monitor, Apple counts the number of calories you burn during the day. Nevertheless, in order to get more accurate measurements, especially during workouts, you should specify what exercise you are performing, for example, jogging, running on a treadmill, using an elliptical machine, etc.
How to check your step count with Apple Watch
- Launch the Activity App. You can do it from the Home screen by pushing the Digital Crown. You can also find the app in the watch face.
- Tap the Activity app to see an overview of your progress.
- Scroll down using your finger or the Digital Crown.
- You will see the step count (Total steps) there, as well as Active calories and Total Distance.
